Artist Róisín O’ Shea

After graduating from the National College of Art and Design Dublin, Róisín was awarded a Scholarship by the Australian Government, and completed a postgraduate diploma in Fine Art and Multi-Media in Sydney Australia. On her return to Ireland she was granted tax exempt status by the Irish State on the basis that her work was of National and Cultural significance. Róisín is now an internationally published water-colour artist, whose work has been reproduced under license since 1993, in many forms, including Fine Art prints, calendars, notelets, Christmas cards, books, Collector’s plates and table-top collections. Licensees included John Hinde Ireland Limited, Donegal Parian China, Belleek, Franklin Mint and Pimpernel International.

Róisín’s paintings are in the corporate collections of many Irish companies and embassies, including AIB bank, and the British, Italian, Dutch and Australian Embassies. They have also been bought and presented to several former heads of state including former U.S. Presidents George Bush Senior and Bill Clinton, former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl and former Irish Taoiseachs Charles Haughey, Albert Reynolds and Bertie Ahern. Private Collectors of Róisín’s work include ex U.S. Ambassador to Ireland Jean Kennedy Smith, Irish broadcaster Pat Kenny, singer Chris De Burgh, football legend Jack Charlton, singer Perry Como, Tom Moran CEO Mutual of America, Oscar award winning actress Brenda Fricker and Dennis Sheehan U2's Tour Manager. H.R.H. Prince Charles and Queen Beatrice of the Netherlands were presented with O’ Shea originals by the Irish Government and British Embassy respectively.
