St. Kevin's, Glendalough, Co. Wicklow, an original watercolour painting by Róisín O' Shea, copyright 2011- Unframed
Glendalough, or the Glen of two lakes, is one of the most important monastic ruins in Ireland, its recorded history dating from the 6th century. It is also known as the city of the seven churches. Fourteen centuries have passed since the death of its founder St. Kevin. Its an incredible place to visit, no matter the time of the year. I went there in Spring 2011 for this painting.
